Softies: First Sewing Machine Trial

So... You might know I've got a sewing machine for my birthday. I was excited about it, until I tried to sew something with it. It was a mess, a complete disaster I might say.

It's not that I can't sew or anything...

Well, okay, I may not have the perfect sewing skill, but I know how to sew using a sewing machine. The problem was I thought the presser-foot wasn't the right one I needed. It was the general one, and I thought I might need the straight-stitch one. So I bought a straight-stitch presser-foot and tried again.

Guess what? Another problem occured. Now the needle wouldn't go through the hole in the presser-foot. And so I thought the machine was broken. I was about to take it to a repairer when...

... my husband figured out what the problem was! The reason why the needle didn't go through the middle hole was because I set the width to 4 instead of 0! It was such a stupid thing, I know.

Anyway, my machine works perfectly now. Well, it has always been working perfectlly, I guess. I decided to try to make a doll. It's not yet perfect, I know. The head shape looks weird and I need to fix that. With more practices I am sure it will get better.
